School Closure Covid-19 Information

Dear RCA Family,

Good Evening,

The health of our students and staff continues to be our highest priority.

 In response to the escalating Coronavirus (COVID-19) condition,

As mandated by Nassau County Executive, school will be closed for students for two weeks from March 16 to March 20 and March 23 to March 27..

Also note, this weekend, the school proactively cleaned and sanitized the campuses:  

•    Sterifab disinfectant product with a fogging applicator was applied. This type of applicator is widely used in schools and dries within 15 minutes.   CDC approved hdqc2 disinfectant solution was also applied to sanitize all areas to combat the virus

•    The areas included lockers, copying machines, computers, phones, doors, doorknobs, desks, chairs, file cabinets, bathrooms, floors, walls, sinks, toilets, classrooms, trailers, buses, gym and other common areas etc. have been sanitized using this protocol

•    Maintenance staff will be continuously cleaning throughout the day and sanitizing contact areas and all surfaces.

•    Antibacterial soap is available in all bathrooms

•    Hand Sanitizers are available in the buildings and classrooms and more have been ordered

We will continue to update our protocols as the situation evolves, and communicate about any possible impact to parents and our school community.
